I’m writing a book about how we can grow love for ourselves and others to improve our health and happiness and help create a kinder world.
Book in Progress
Go Love: A science-based guide to self-love, connecting with others, and creating a kinder world
is a science-based exploration of how love for ourselves, for others, and for the world can be intentionally grown through understanding, healing, practice, and compassion.
This book explores a simple but powerful idea:
Love is not just something we feel, it’s something we choose.
We often think of love as an emotion that comes and goes. But what if love is actually a way of moving through the world? A way of making decisions, responding to conflict, and showing up for the people and animals all around us?
This book is about what happens when we begin to live from that place consistently, intentionally, and even when it’s hard. It’s about how choosing love in everyday moments can change how we make decisions, navigate challenges, and show up in our relationships. It is not about love as a vague ideal, but as a practical way of living that can be applied in the moments that matter most, and one that leads to greater health, happiness, and connection. A way that leads us to take better care of ourselves, those around us, our living planet, and of all the beings we share it with.
It’s for anyone who wants to live with more clarity, more connection, and more purpose, and who suspects that love might be the way.
While many books explore what love is or why it matters, this book focuses on how to actually live from love in everyday life. Grounded in psychological research and contemplative traditions, the book introduces a three-part framework, Attend, Mend, and Ascend, for strengthening emotional health, relationships, and connection across the lifespan. The project builds on my work as a psychologist, consultant, and educator and expands the ideas introduced in my TEDx talk, “The Power of Love.”
It’s a book about living with intention, connection, and courage through the daily practice of love.
